FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Book Week

What a terrific week we have had celebrating the wonderful literature in our lives. This culminated in our Favourite Character Dress-Up Day where our students, teachers and parents enjoyed a fun parade this morning. Well done to all those involved!

School Uniform

Moolap Primary has a uniform dress code reinforcing in students a pride in their appearance, instilling recognition of themselves as an integral part of the school community and assisting in developing pride in representing their school. We ask parents to support the school uniform policy and ensure their children are dressed accordingly whilst at school.  We have particularly noticed students wearing jumpers or hoodies that are falling outside the dress code. Please see the Uniform Policy on the school’s websiteSupport options are available for those suffering financial difficulties and require assistance with uniforms.  Please contact the office for further information.

Concerns & complaints

The School Council have reviewed and ratified our Concerns and Complaints Policy. Moolap PS aims to support the promotion of a safe and respectful school environment and to manage and address complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner that reflects the school’s core values.

The Parent Teacher Communication Flow Chart, included in this week’s newsletter, is the easiest way to see how to most effectively communicate concerns with the school. Generally speaking, you should always begin with talking to the class teacher. If you are not sure who to address your concerns to please the school office on 5248 2284. Please see the school’s website for the schools policies should you require further information.

ON A FINAL NOTE

Best of luck to our year 4,5 and 6 students who head off to District Athletics next Thursday at Landy Field and 45A who head off to Geelong Advertiser on Tuesday.

Enjoy!
